Patrick M. Tatum

Mr. Tatum was born in Gadsden, Alabama on September 19, 1969. After graduating from Auburn University in 1991 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Mr. Tatum attended the University of Mississippi School of Law where he graduated in 1994 at which time he was admitted to the Mississippi Bar and to all State and Federal Courts in the State of Mississippi, as well as the Fifth Circuit. Upon graduation from the University of Mississippi School of Law, Mr. Tatum worked briefly as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Mississippi before accepting a clerkship for the late Judge James E. Thomas of the Mississippi Court of Appeals. In 1996, Mr. Tatum joined the firm initially in the Greenwood office before transferring to the Ridgeland office in 1997. Since joining the firm Mr. Tatum has focused his practice on insurance defense litigation, including extra-contractual (bad faith) claims, coverage issues, premises liability, general tort litigation, governmental liability, products liability, automobile liability and trucking cases. Mr. Tatum has tried, as lead counsel, in excess of 50 jury trials in both State and Federal Court across the State of Mississippi. He has also defended and tried claims under the Mississippi Tort Claims Act and 42 U.S.C. Sec. 1983. Outside of work Mr. Tatum is active at the First United Methodist Church of Clinton Mississippi. He resides in Clinton, Mississippi with his wife Kelli and two children, Haley and Connor.
